Found another 1973 GTS.
Don't know about you guys...But I can't exactly see a car that was almost to the roof in flood water being worth buying?
Guy has his father's GTS that got caught in a flood...creek came up in a flash flood...
sheet metal looks clean, but hard to tell in the pictures I saw but it was a straight car, except the rot in the quarters...I don't know though. Hard to justify.

I found a '73 Ranchero on CL locally.  Rotted everywhere: $2500.  No freaking way...

Man that reminds me of my parent's {and my first car} 1976 Ford Elite.
Technically, that is just an Elite, as after 1974 the Elite became it's own model if I am not mistaken.
Those rocker moldings work on regular torinos...
I always wanted to do the odd thing of an elite front clip on a GTS body. 75-76 Cougar XR7 front bumper.

Andy,

Check out the production figures for 1976.  Elite 2 Dr (code 65M) almost 150,000 units that year.  One popular beast.  http://www.lovefords.org/tech/production/76.htm  Paul~

1979 Ford Ranchero GT

Person who listed this beauty says it was uncovered during a hailstorm just this year, otherwise it would/couold be worth much more.

Yeah, I know, what's interesting about the elite, it was considered almost a baby tbird...outsold it's nearest competitor {I want to say the Monte} by a good chunk during the three year production run.
In 1977 with the redesign on the tbird to the intermediate size, down from the fullsize Mark platform, no point in keeping the Elite body type around. That, and with the Torino being killed off after 1976, the common base structure, no point in keeping.
