I have a 73 Ranchero auto, 351. My gas and temp gauge, go off ond on at the same time. Wondering where to start looking. Thanx,Kelly

There is a voltage control box on the back of your cluster. It is called a CVR or constant voltage regulator this is what keeps your guages at a determined voltage level. Usually when it malfunctions the guages read opposite of what they should. The only other thing I can think of is the printed circuit board on the back of the cluster has an open circuit.Hope this helps! Gary
