Here are some photos of a 1972 Gran Torino Sport "Q" code car that I don't think we've seen before.  This car has been in storage it's entire life and was still with the original owner before it was brought to North Carolina.  I really like the paint scheme with the vinyl top.  Paul~

Wow...Very clean looking. I like the color scheme too. Even the bronze window tint matches nicely.

Is that "Cobra Jet" on the side of the scoop? That's the nicest brown car I've seen.

Nice looking car.  It's always nice to see "never seen before" GTS in the wild!!!!  The location seems to be the same spot as the eBay green one in your other thread.  Did he bought the green one as a spare?

No, just the way the light happened to reflect off the scoop.  Scoop is clean.  No call outs.

Yeah, same guy bought both cars within days of each other.  He's planning on selling the brown one and then restoring the green one.  Paul~

It's not a ram air car.  I spent a good hour there and it had the standard air cleaner set up originally.

I did ask and he was a bit vague on it.  I don't think he stole it based on what he said about how the deal came together.  Paul~

Shooting from the hip (right next to my  wallet) assuming low milage ( under 30,000)  that car is worth $20,000 . This latest movie biz attracts non torino fans to buy and may drive the price . I'd be intrested at that number , He must have a thing for green or he really wants to make THE movie car ,  Yes I noticed that both cars were at the same location. Seems Like,  When ever you buy something ,what you really wanted is  right around the corner . ( good he had means for both )

I talked to the owner of this car and he's looking to move it soon so he can focus on the green one.  If anyone's interested let me know.  Paul~

I haven't heard him mention price at this point.  I think he's trying to take care of some things to make it more interesting.  It doesn't have A/C, rallye cluster; bench seat car (needs reupholstery) with column shift.  The main thing it's got going for it is that it is rust free, original 351CJ drivetrain, original paint/decals with a solid one owner paper trail.  Haven't talked with him about it since I posted the pictures.  I'll keep everyone posted on this one.  If he sells it privately, I'll try to get an idea of price he wants/sells for.  If not, then we'll probably see it on eBay/Craigslist.  Based on what's been going through lately, I'm guessing he's looking for $15-$20K.  Paul~

Thanks for the heads up, Don't get me wrong , But i may have been a little high on my original estimate , I don't like the 80,000 miles or the aftermaket speakers, window tint, door handle ,arm rest, under hood needs attention, heater core ? no chrome cover in 72? not to sure about front  seats/ velore or vinyl ? Would want to see some under carriage shots, fluid leaks ect , gauges?  Still a very nice ride.  looks to be a very easy fix .Let the bidding war begin , I'll be there.

When I saw the car originally, it had some cheesey aftermarket chrome air cleaner on it.  He's added the current setup since I saw it.  Any idea what that setup originally came from?  Earlier model 70/71 with 429 or something else entirely?  Paul~

He's selling it with no reserve but says he reserves the right to sell it locally which means if the bidding doesn't go high enough he'll end it early.

Yeah I don't like that "I reserve the right to end the auction crap". If you're gonna auction it and are scared, put a reserve or buy it now on it. I'd be pissed if he ended it in the last hour and I had the high bid and was planning on fighting to the end.

I don't think you can pull an auction in the last hour - I've got a feeling it's got to be pulled either 12 or 24 hours in advance if the item has a bid on it......

Either way, I'd noticed it last night.......it's at $8.6K at the minute, could end up being a bargain!
