I decided to go with Mickey Thompson 28x10.5 ET Drags and Fronts. Ordered them Today Hopefully have them on for my next track day, whenever that may be. Next item on the list is a Edelbrock Performer Rpm Nitrous Kit.

I'm running the MT drag radials and love them.  (always wanted to be able to drive to the track, unload the tools, race, load up and drive home).  My setup is probably costing me a tenth just in weight..  LOL

I've always been told to run as much pressure as will hook, anything less and you're just losing speed.

Chris, it's not just the increased air pressure. These slicks just seem to work better all around. But I do run about 5 more pounds of air over the Goodyears.

So far looks like we got 2 forr hossier 1 m/t  . Whats Jim West running ,drag radials?  I am leaning hreavily towards the m/t do to my budget.  I  want to get wheels up in the worst way! Noting in the word beats the image of a healthy muscle car launching its tires to the heavens.

I've always had good luck with M/T's working good and lasting a long time. I run them tubeless with 12-14 pounds of air and do a short burnout with no dry hop. Here's a pic hooking on a mid-12 pass, but will carry the tires on a mid-11 bottle pass.Cool

No tube eh! How much air pressure gets you an extra 1/10? Speaking about unsprung weight, how much is worth a 1/10 of a second? I'm still thinking about getting alum. drums.

I don't run tubes front or rear. Less unsprung weight.

I like my Hoosier 28 x 14.5-15LT Quick Time Pro DOT. They bite hard off the line with 17 lbs. of air pressure. They need a special Racing Tube to pass tech. Lots of rubber left after 20 runs give or take.

We talked about this a few years ago on this board. I used Goodyear for 25 years. Even did slick testing for them one year. One day, a few years ago, I needed slicks & nobody had any on either side of the border. I called my contact at Goodyear & was told there wouldn't be any anytime soon because of the war. But I could get a set of Hoosiers. Wow, what a diff. More consistant traction & 60 foot times & I could run them with more air, all of which picked the car up about a tenth! They last twice as long & cost less!
