has anyone had trouble with sparocket touching cam thrust plate .just fitted double chain set up

what engine, year, Cloyes PN?
 
never heard of a problem like that with Cloyes, i'd take it as a sign that something's wrong somewhere
 
did you use the special short head bolts to mount the retainer plate or did you get new ones?

Thanks for the heads up, I did delete the other identical post.

scotty,

Could you provide us some additional details. I have not heard of this before. Perhaps there is something missing? Most Cloyes products are outstanding, but there always is a possibility.

Let us know some more data so we can assist further.
