Gazoo here.

Mine is a 72 Gran Torino Wagon.
351 C 2V, FMX automatic, power steering and power brakes
Originally Medium Gold Metallic with Ginger upholstery
Luggage Rack, trailer tow package, nothing else
Built in Canada (Oakville, Ontario)
Runs and drives better than it has any right to, considering it's dead original right now except for all-new brake system and a new idler arm.
Bought it for $775 from a pawn shop.

Objective:  Unique fun family street cruiser; ultimate goal is to complete the car for $5000 - $7000 max to demonstrate to younger folks that you can build an interesting car without spending $40,000 doing it.  Took night classes at community college to learn the basics of bodywork and paint.  We'll see how well we do.  Once I get rolling I'll start an "in-progress" thread.

Examples of my "budget."
Bought a 3rd row seat complete in good shape for $100.
Bought assorted trim pieces, glass and tailgate motor assemby and wiring for $100.
Bought 4 rust-free doors for $200.
Bought a used Edelbrock Aluminum 4bbl intake for the 2v heads for $75.
Have an used Edelbrock 1406 4bbl carb, and an old chrome air cleaner in storage.
Bought a pair of very slightly used Flowmaster mufflers for $40.
Bought decent dash pad from Pick-N-Pull for $20, wrong color but I'll dye it.
Bought sport mirrors and good grille emblem on ebay for $65.
Bought pair of nice bucket seats from Dodge Stratus for $60 (don't know if they'll fit yet.)
Ordered a set of American Racing Nova 702 wheels (17x8) for about $700.

So you get the idea!!

Lots of different ideas for paint but nothing firm at this time.  Lots of rust repair first.

72 GranTorino "rat wagon" 351C, a work in progress

69 Mustang Mach 1, 351w, Borg Warner T5, rack & pinion steering, fuel injected

Traded into a 1974 LTD Country Squire wagon today. 460 with C-6. Left w/s pillar mounted spot light, CB antenna in middle of front roof area, decent upholstery(needs front seat covered), tires almost new(in '86). Was told it has been sitting in barn since '86 and 2 years ago tornado ripped roof off building. Needs fuel pump and probably gas tank but runs good with gas dripped in it. Here's a couple of pics. Oh and it has a big Alabama decal in the back window too!

Thanks legend! Im not too keen on the Big A in the back window either, my loyalties are with the orange and blue across the state! It does match the paint though!

My Marti report. Will have owned my wagon for 36 years on Thursday of this week. Originally, mine could quite possibly have been a Christmas gift. I have a little info on the PO.

That is cool. I will have owned my '76 for 33 years as of the end of December. They become a part of the family (or in my case, landscape) after that many years.

Nice wagon, Tnrancher. I need to come visit you on that grill and those other parts in the next couple of weeks.
