Anyone know of any paints or procedures to refurbish exterior moulding/trim? Only one ive heard of is to get rid of de-anodizing the mouldings and then polishing up with aluminum polish.....but even that is just temporary before you gotta polish again. It'd be nice to be able to give it that anodized finish again.

De-anodize, polish..

I've heard of people using something called "Zoop Seal".

Goes on like a wax, but is meant for protecting polished aluminum

I've made some aluminum license then sprayed clear coat on them. Works good.

When I did all the trim off my MGT I first used EasyOff oven cleaner and steel wool.
Had to do it a few time to the anodizing all off so there were no blotches left.
I then used a 2 step polish/sealant I got from Carlisle. I can get the name if you want. Used a bench grinder I converted with 2 different polishing wheels.
Works great!!
I intend to give them a second buff when ready to install and also shoot clear on them.
