Interesting !!!
I always thought these guys were heavily into Procomp gear. Maybe its a partnership deal or something with Procomp, but you couldn't go wrong with a CNC'ed block.
In the dyno vid I thought it seem a bit sluggish.
Let me know when you want yours ordered Max, I got family in Perth that can assist.

Yeah I did.
I really wish they would post some prices on em. Ye old adage - if you need to ask, its probably beyond your price range.
Then add - 4 x down draft Weber Dellorto's, linkages etc = KA-CHING!!! (cash register noise)

The price for the Aussie Arrow Cleveland block is $3450 AUD (inc GST). Here's a few pics to show the differences in the block and the quality of the casting and machining.

Yep. It will go to 4.185 with a .216 wall. Put a 4 inch stroker in and you get 440 cubes. :) |

i'm surprised the front of the first bulkhead is scalloped, are they all like that, like a stock production block or are they full thickness?
even with this custom girdle on it
here's what happens when you start making some power

Holy cow! Looks like a block that was hit with a 250 NOS shot.

i know there was a 671 on it, not sure if / what else?
IIRC he said he only makes about 8 runs on a fresh block
if it wasn't this guy it was another guy running power

Not sure, to be honest. The blocks are definitely stronger, not quite sure, but I think they're 'rated' to around 1000hp with the current design. Best you get in touch with Arrow and ask them. I'm not involved, just a friend/journo that took some photos for them. |

Hey Max, this custom girdle you have shown us intrigues me.

the guy's screen name is lyle671, this link will get you his posts from C.net, unfortunately all his pics have gone red x. i found him on another board and PM'd him for a refresh of the pics above 'Rory Taylor over in WA is where I got the idea from for the girdle/caps...'
i guess he stepped it up to a 871 running 35# boost @ 50% overdrive
and yeah he's the 8 passes / done guy

What about Todd Buttermore blocks. Have you seen those yet?
Personally...Some reason the thought of an alloy block, and a set of Areo Engineering 32 valve Cleveland heads. One of those things I lust for.

Tod Buttermore is still chugging along as best he can... he (tries to) post updates on C.net but i guess he always loses his post. having trouble with vendors, machine parts... i don't think the block is on his front burner by any means? but he says he's pushing forward
as far as Aero heads.... they're Flubberware. it seems as though they did produce some 351C heads, how many is pretty hard to pin down but it doesn't look like there's gonna be any more? but anything's possible. not sure if the posts still pull up but there was at least one maybe a couple guys with deposits down on product that never materialized. the only guy i know of that 'says he has some' is a sketchy forum troll that goes by some variation of Kaz, Kazoom... IIRC he has posted pics of Aero heads and their predecessors Dominion heads, again IIRC he has eluded to having multiple sets of both?

Yeah, I have not honestly been paying much attention as of late to the 335 forum, sadly enough.
I always assumed on a Cleveland the biggest weakness running a blower was the crank would tend to snap at the first main cap from too much pressure from the belt? |

that's what the small chevies do if you tighten on the belt too much, the diesel in my bud's military Humvee (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle or HMMWV) broke the crank from having the accesory belts pulled too tight
so far into my mock-up stage i found that i need a very long crank bolt for my blower hub. with my goodie kit i got a broken/repaired fluidamper and the steel hub, they both have about the same total height but the way the steel hub is made, the bolt head is out much farther than where a damper places it
how did the fluidamper get broken / repaired i wonder?
