Here's my 1976 Elite back in 1985 (My senior year in high school). This was 351 Windsor car that I put a set of Western Wheels 15x10's with 295/50 BF Goodrich Radial T/A's on the back, 15x7's up front with 235/60's, went thru two sets of Cragar SS wheels, and a set of Keystone Classics, Gabriel High Jackers with the extensions on the top of the shock usually pumped up tight with as much air as they could hold, dual exhaust with little short Cherry Bombs, smoked headlight covers that were held on with velcro, and the had to have sunroof of the 80's, throw in a Pioneer KEA-880 auto reverse cassette player with four Pioneer TSX-11s in the back window that had some goofy silver angora type material covering the rear window tray. Man, I miss those days.... Life was good!!! LolAlways wanted a Starsky & Hutch car, but i had to settle with this....

Add a C.B. antenna (102" whip) with a P.A. speaker under the hood and a linear amplifier so I could annoy the drive thru at 'Booger King" and it would be perfect.

Here's a pic of the 1975 Elite that my Dad, Mom and I were in (June 1976) when some drunk dude with no insurance in a 1970 Road Runner decided to run a stoplight in downtown Indianapolis, drilled him in the passenger side door, of course this car was totaled, so while my Mom was in the hospital, she ask my Dad if her car was ok, Dad told her it was fine, he then went to a Ford dealer outside of Indy and bought her a new 1976 Elite, same color and trim except in 76 they went with the half vinyl roof. So, this new 76 Elite became my car when I got my drivers license in 1983, had it painted to what you see in the previous pic.

Looks like a 1970 1/2 Falcon in the very back...but this guy that I sometimes repost from was taking requests, and he actually had a yearbook ad from the dealer that my Torino was sold new from. I haven't been able to find any other info on it, let alone pictures. Patrick Ford, Fayetteville, NC.

And your steering wheel connects to the rack-n-peanut with a section of cable...
Get a later one with a solid steering shaft and the 2.0 OHC instead of the 1.6 OHV. and some actual bumpers to protect the gas tank. (Then get some asbestos underwear, just in case...)

Larry P., Facebook - very cool car now. 460 with a tunnel ram, hood splits directly in half like an older style car, and it has big tires in the back with the rear quarters still cut like they are in these photos. They're a little more finished looking though, with moldings.

First year or two of the Pinto had the cable between the rack 'n peanut and the steering column shaft.
