This wagon must have been going more than 5 mph when it hit...if it wasn't, then the "Battering Ram" didn't work right! lol

The thing is back then "ALL" the cars were rolling battering rams. So when beast met beast then went 'BOOM"! If that Torino hit one of these little cracker box economy cars the Torino wins.

Hard to imagine plastic bummer cars being collected and going to car shows in 50 years. Wonder if the plastic will hold up? How would you get replacement panels? At least the metal our cars are mostly made of doesn't warp with time...just gotta watch out for rusting of course.

There's a white Torino down front center in traffic. Might be more hiding around someplace!

Throwaway cars. Safer yes with the air bags and crumple zones. If any of the bags deploy the vehicle is totaled. None of the plastics are recycled. It's all melted and burned when vehicle is scrapped. With older vehicles much more of it can be recycled. |

Great Picture! I bet it brings back a lot of memories for you. I'd love to have a picture of my Dad checking out my Torino before I was allowed to buy it back in 1978. He said he had to approve since he was paying for half of it. lol |

One of the members told me where this guy lives after I told him we passed each other in Stoughton. Turns out I am a couple of miles from this guy's house. I plowed his driveway a few times as I think he is an older guy, maybe one day I will stop and say hi. Dug up the gravel a bit, Hope he wasn't pissed.
