Hi all:

In lieu of trying to repair my wavy and somewhat rusted passenger door, I think I'm just going to replace it with a straight one. My local u-pull-it has one but it's got a power window. My car is, of course, manual. How hard is it to change from a power window mechanism to a manual mechanism?

You just have to change the window regulator, not too difficult.

Not too hard at all.
You'll need a large rivet gun and rivets, an upholstery tool, door panels and a few hours.
Shame you aren't closer I'd give you the parts you need for the conversion. I just stripped down the one door and am getting ready to strip the other one. You'd still have to find some door panels.
It's a lot of disassembling and the regulators are a pain in the butt to fit out of the opening but it's very do-able.

When I reassembled my door I used screws and nuts with locktite, in lieu of an OMG size rivet gun.

I've done that. Sometimes I just like an excuse to play with a pneumatic rivet gun.
