I actually have about 2 acres of land I might be able to make a Torino farm on. I've thought about GTS.org having Torino farms everywhere (Torino Farm North, Torino Farm West, maybe 2 or 3 Torino Farm Souths). Just a thought.

Kevin, I'll see if I can find the site that car came from.

Located in MO

I've been thinking a 1-Stop shop for all things 72-79 like Blue Oval does or the Cougar Farm.
Junkyards that specialize in a certain make, model, style or years of cars.

Hell ANYTHING Ford would fit in my place!
I couldn't turn away a FoMoCo product looking for a place to retire and be used to help another stay on the road!

My goal would be to rebuild as many as possible from what I bring in and then sell them off.

Originally we thought we only had one acre, but it turns out we have two. Super deep with plenty of room to build a good sized shop, put stuff outside, build a house, etc. In a rural area, too.

If it was just acreage...I have about 275 acres. But I'm having problems being allowed to bring a sixth vehicle here unless I get rid of something. There are many guys on here that have larger inventories than I, but that argument doesn't fly well.

the biggest issues are with the GOV.

So many regulations and EPA stuff to worry about.
Most Towns/Cities, Counties and states will not give a license to a "NEW" junkyard.
So that means I need to find a yard that is now almost out of business and get hold of it but that comes with $$$$$$$$ because the EPA will be all over a old yard and cost millions to clean it up!

Then we go around the GOV. I play the terminology game everyday with room names in architecture. What if it was called a private stock yard. For $1.00, you were granted private membership into the storage parts yard. Since you were a member to this "private" club, you would not be held to the same regulations. It would be your private stash that you sold parts and pieces to other club members.

Just a thought.

There was on old yard on Craig's list up here not to long ago. I would have loved to buy. Price tag was only 300,000.   It had three or four buildings on the property with electric service and running water in some buildings.     Just saw an ad on Craig's list the other day for a yard crushing everything out. Mostly 50's- late 70's.   Can't seem to find the ad again

Might? have been "Buick Bonery" in Sacromento, Calif. Had heard that that yard was teetering on the edge of being closed down and crushed out. There also was another thread on the V8buick site regarding a yard in the midwest (Nebraska) that crushed out most of their old Buicks. they took a much more proactive approach though, stripping and or saving certain parts, and saving a few more high interest cars, before the general crush out.
