i just recently found another private yard like that, checked it out last saturday, raining and swampy Angry no torinos there but tons of chevelle and GTO/lemans cars and parts, (4) 72 cougars there though...
but i'm told the same owner has 4 or 5 more properties full of old cars!!! i was shown a few pics of one of the other yards with several large chicken barns full of cars Big smile can't wait to check that place out!!!!Thumbs Up

Probably worth one third of that unfortunately, if that much. But it allows these cars to remain affordable during the attack of the investors/price hikers/auction watchers/flippers as long as you avoid the crackpipe price ads.

Salvage 1973 Montego - Houston, TX - 3H07H653930 - Current bid: $0

Now that's a god damn! Roof is probably toast too. Still has some nice parts though, like the rear bumper and taillights, possibly some interior stuff, maybe the drivetrain.

After some Facebook musings on our page, I've noticed that something doesn't quite add up. That Montego has a '74 number.

It's got the vin posted starts with a 3, so 73, also has big front bumper and taillights in rear bumper, again 73. there's also a second montego posted (4 door) that's the same color and it's a 74. its vin starts with a 4.

Because you can't save them all. But even one saved is one less rotting in a junk yard. (How's that for some profound words!)Thumbs Up

With me, I just...I just...don't. I still love these cars very much, but just knowing that there are others around (even if you have to be a little patient when finding one) kills all sadness for me. When I'm walking through yards, I take pictures, make a few notes on any desirable stuff on the vehicle, and move on. I think it's also because I see people threatening and berating owners of cars, for doing what the hell they want to do with their stuff. They have the absolute right to be wasteful if they want. Same thing with letting stuff sit around in backyards. You have the right to do that, and nobody else can tell you that you can't do it. All the hate speech gets to you though, even if it's only keyboard warriors acting tough because they're behind screens. About 6 years ago, I was inches from scrapping my wagon. Joined the forum on a whim and it's what's persuaded me to keep it, even if it looks the same and still doesn't run now. I don't know. There's two sides. One side says it's selfish to not let someone else have the chance to put something to use, the other side says it's selfish to feel entitled to someone's stuff because you don't like what they're doing (or not doing) with it. Touchy subject for me, sorry for the little rant. I guess the best thing to do is just what Dan said. Accept that you can't "save" (all of this has made me hate that word LOL) them all, don't rip Censored against people who are just doing what they want with what's rightfully theirs.
