It's a real LE (or was anyway). Here's a couple matching pics from a happier time, right after being brought back from the dead. Always wondered what happened to it........guess I saved it for nothing.......it was really a solid car too.Unhappy

Someone know where it is??

Maybe a member could pick it up before they crush it!?
$300 offer to the yard?

maybe we take up donations of parts and put it together from all the extra/free stuff we could collect from the members.

Hey Walt, could you let me know which forum had the pics of my old LE? The car went to California when it sold. Would be interesting to see if any more info about it shows up on that forum. Thanks, Scott

The guy that posted the car is from Long Beach. The forum is VWvortex, and I'm on there because I have a 1985 Jetta.

Sad to see it there.
I mean sold from a member here probably to someone who was going to do good things with it and then... it ended up in the boneyard!
Bad deal.

This one needs to be hunted down.
The exterior looks to be in too good of a condition to let it die.
Floors and stuff are common to all our cars but the bosy is Montego only and no one makes repair panels.
Hell I'd put it at the farm and spray the quarters with something to keep them from rusting/rotting anymore!

Seriously, someone help us find this one!

A friend told me he saw Torinos in a junk yard near Abilene Tx, so I went and although there was a lot of neat old cars, no Torinos, well there was half of one! There were Rancheros, and Wagons, but everything was pretty picked over or weather ruined. All I saw worth getting was set of knobs for lifting the seat back (hard to find) and possibly some trim or a bumper. Kind of a disappointment. Here's a some shots.
