Hi All
What color black is correct for the engine compartment? Satin or Semi gloss? I believe it is Satin but want to be sure. Thanks |

Not sure what is 'correct' but I've always used the 'Ford semi gloss black' engine paint on the inner wheel wells.

Ford Semi-Gloss is "Correct".
We have also found there is no rhyme or reason to determine if the firewall was painted Black or Body color. So that is your own preference. |

Rustoleum 7777. Long drying time but it kicks ass against any other spray bomb paint. Extremely durable, easy touch up, easy to keep clean.

that was when it was totally fresh. don't know how well its held up over the last 8-9 years.
This is a bad case of "one thing leads to another". Pulled the original engine and had another built for pure stock drag racing and well, it went a little overboard and overbudget. NPD got alot of my cash as did marti autoworks. Lol Edited by mcford - 20-March-2013 at 6:58AM |

I know exactly what you mean. I restored a 70 Torino cobra about ten years ago and I still have no credit cards. Refuse to use them.

Oh ok, I wondered if they had kits for the Torino or you had to mix and match....That might be a weekend project for me on my wagon because I don't like that my engine compartment is not "crisp" b/c of the old hardware. Thanks for the information!
