ALRIGHT Easy and flipped enough of these, Just flipped another today. Shops quote a new transmission needed.
Cadillac with bad transmission and service engine light on. Car has only 3rd gear forward starts and stops in it no manual 1or 2 or overdrive, Reverse works normal.
AC Clutch is shot and blows fuse 1 15 amp in the secret 4th Cadillac fuse panel not in any manual, Below the glovebox remove 4 7mm screws and to the right you find a 4th fusebox. replace fuse 1 and cut or pull ac Clutch wires. Otherwise first time ac  clutch tries to engage fuse blows again. I picked up caddys for years at 500 bucks each and flipped em with this problem.  Bought this one for 400 and sold it 3 hours later for 2,500. Did change the oil and plugs so had 450 in it.

So replacing the A/C fuse corrects the transmission issue?

I know a guy here that buys the later model Cadillacs with blown head gaskets. Gets them for anywhere from $500 to $800. Drops the engine cradle, installs Ford head bolts, new gaskets, pops the cradle back in and sells the fire out of them. NICE cars that rarely have that issue ever again and he makes a great living doing that and can do several a week.
