I have a 74 cougar xr7 with a 400 engine. Can anyone tell me where the hoses from the vac tree on the firewall need to go? I have all but one hooked up. Thanks

Here is a picture of the '74 Ranchero I had with a 400 in it from the factory. Sorry for the bad shot, but perhaps it will give you some insight.

heres a pic of leela, my 73 torino.  I assume you meant this doo-hicky.

the far left and far right hose goes to the transmission.  the second one from the left goes to the little thingy on the intake.  as you see the second from the right is capped on mine.  hope this helps

It is odd the difference between 1 year on our vacuume tees. I would think that a Ranchero unit would not be so different from a Torino.

I agree. The ranchero tree is similar to mine but not exact either. I'm in a vacuum mess I think. The person I bought it from even has the pcv vac hooked up to the tree instead of the back of the carb. I have the carb spot for the pcv plugged. I tried the pcv into the carb spot and plugged off the tree where it currently is and the engine shakes. I can't find a diagram ANYWHERE. It runs ok I guess. Kinda hesitates when I punch it

The Ranchero was an A/C, C6/400 with PS and PB. It is more of a tree with several ports closed off.
