Hi all,

I have been very keen reader (registered somewhat earlier) for a very long time and have enjoyed all the stories here, especially the project and engine tech threads; as well as picked up some very valuable/detailed information regarding these cars of ours; I do Thank You All!

Therefore now when I am "returning into & starting again - again - again" my (more than 20 years owned) 1972 Gran Torino STW 429 project, I thought it might be good idea to join the forum properly; especially regarding any sharing of information and/or experiences; so hereby my first post!

Welcome Harry!  I like you forum name (I am a big fan of WWII aircraft).  I have upgraded you to a full forum member, so share some pics of your Torino.

Welcome to the group.
I might be a bit crazy.  Nothing like the sound of 4 radial engines beating the sky into submission on a B-17.

Thanks guys.....nice welcomes...

Hereby short preview of the "black widow", these shots are showing the car when it was last time in driving condition; with "must to have" yellow spark plug cables yes....this was the status around 20 years ago! Then the car was parked in garage and stayed there until 2017, when I started still the still ongoing works with it.

Never mind the air filter sticker of 460, which comes from some T-Bird if I remember right; engine truly is 429-4V with C6, (not factory originals, these are from 69-70 high perf Mustang) and so far with original 9" rear 3.00 with ford diff lock.
Today, finally the car is "frame off" & reconditioning started....more pictures of the project are available...

I love it. Those 72 station wagons were rare back then, you never see one now.
