Not sure if this makes a difference but is there a preferred way to run the fuel line from the mechanical fuel pump to the carb? In front of it to the pass side or along the drivers side, around behind the carb and then back forward? I've seen it both ways but just wondered if there is a "best" way. The engine is a 429. thanks - dave

Did you ever decide on how to run your fuel line? You could check with aquartlow (Todd) as he runs a Big Block.
FWIW, there are some repro lines if you are going for OEM style:

Thanks, Vince, I'll check those out. I haven't decided yet on which way, it was run around the back side of the carb when I got the car but was just curious if there is a preferred way. I'll see if I can get a message to Todd.
