Would you bother swapping 2.47s for 2.75s? Cost would be.. $20 for fluid and gaskets.

Thoughts?

What would make more since wound to a 3:1 ratio .You will feel more peep without hurt economy. The 3.25:1 gear will give good lauch ,but you will notice the engine will drink more fuel. I did the same swap on a nova from 2.47 to 3.08's posi the car was okay. I lost a bit on top end ,but 0 to 75 mph was a different story.

I would, for $20.   2.75 is at least what most early 70 's cars came with, wasnt until the late 70's when they started putting dogs like a 2.47 in.         my 78 429 ranchero i think has the 2.47. good god, i think i could go 200mph with that car ,  but an escort will beat me out of the hole.
your monster engine would like a little more gear!
