Either way the motor is like any other if you are going to put it in a hot rod you would want to go thru it and freshen it up.It is a 69 motor that is all original.

I bought one earlier this year. It was a 71 and picked it up for 300. I thought that was a great deal.

Is it one of the bizarro 460 engines with the power steering built into the front cover and the transmission with 3 enormous splines on the uotput shaft?

No it is a normal 460.I was originally going to build it as a blower motor and put it in my S&H car but just never had the money. Stock rated at 365HP

The 460 I picked up locally that was pulled from a wrecked f250 i believe I paid $150 for a few years ago. Didn't keep it but I still have the brackets. I think I resold it for the same price. It was a running engine when pulled.

Sounds like it's one of the good 460's. Not the low compression of the later years.
Not sure what it's worth exactly, but I'd much rather have this over the newer 460's. For Lincoln, anything after '71 was all low compression.
Hope that helps.

Yes it is the good 460 that is why I snatched it up years ago.All the race car guys said you want a 1969 or 70 motor to build.
