Does anyone know what would cause my 71 4 door Torino 500 to only let me fill the tank half way? I've considered a faulty fuel gauge but I don't think that's it. It let's me slowly pump until about halfway full

Did you ever come up with the fix for this? A lot of members seem to have had the same issue.

Honestly I haven't even looked at it. I've had several other things that I addressed first, and then I put the car up for the winter. Now that it's driving season again I hope to do some investigating very soon... I was going to check the vent first. This is the only thing that makes sense to me. I'll let you know when I figure it out. Please do the same if you figure out yours first.

I replaced the fuel tank and all is good now. I got the spectre tank. Good fit, nice quality. Amazon had the best price.
