Is there any cars that I can take a rear disc brake setup off of and swap onto my rear end?

8.8 is not the same as an 8". They are two very different beasties. The pix you had up were of an 8".

Here is a rear disc conversion using Crown Vic rear discs to small bearing housing.
http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=358587

I installed 2000 CV rear discs on my '79 Ranchero(I previously installed a small bearing housing out of a '72 Mark IV), a little involved but not too bad. Almost nothing is EVER a "bolt-on" when dealing with a Ford. Here are some pics:

BTW, Bryan, you may want to re-word your post. It just doesn't sound "right" .

Yeah, It's a Hybrid...It burns gas and tires.

the axle you were posting pix of asking what it was under your falcon? That appears to be an 8". The 8" and 9" both have a removable carrier (gears come out the front) An 8.8 is a later axle with a carrier built into the axle and a removable stamped sheet-metal cover on the back for servicing the gears.
This is the same axle you posted a pic of in your Falcon build 1st page 12-06-13?

If you google "disc brake swap onto ford 8 inch axle", there is a lot out there.

The CV rear disc conversion is a popular swap for those with the 8" and 9" small bearing housings that want rear disc brakes with emergency brakes and/or use factory brake parts. Glad to see you changed the wording, it just sounded painful . Todd
