Sup fellas, I need a speedo cable, and I can't seem to find one that says "will fit 67 ford falcon" will any speedo cable fit? It's a c4 tranny, and I need something other than the cut off speedo hangin out lol, what I'm worried about is the fitment to the dash.......what do I do if I change the gear ratio? Won't that be off?

you can change the gears on the cable end if it's not too far off. the problem with mine is- mine was dead on, put in the aod it has the other gear machined into the output shaft like my fmx 8 tooth vs 7 tooth i can't get a 15 tooth speedo gear they don't make one that small i had 17/8 now i need 15/7Angry but if you get a cable working you can use a GPS to check your actual speed then try different gears

I know that there is a gear on the end of the cable, that's not set perfect for your tranny? You change it for you gear ratio?

yes depending on how much and which way roughly  1 tooth is about 5mph???  too fast go bigger gear. different geared rear end changes things different tires changes things, just trial and error, run what gears you have and see how much it's off at what speed(s) make a note of that try it at like 25 mph and at 50 mph note how far off it is and go from there, make sense?

Yeah thanks,so I found a cable, I can just pull the gear off of the cut off cable and put it on the new one? I have also been wondering, can a cigarette lighter outlet be used for say a phone charger? Or gps?

Haha, that's what I was thinking. (It doesn't...lol) but I'm not sure about the type, the cable is cut on it currently, about 3 inches away from the tranny. And I'll have to pull the cluster to look, but I think it's the screw on type.
