I have a 69 Torino Cobra Jet 429 with factory AC. It has the vacuum canister under the hood and a temperature control valve on the firewall. The control valve has 3 water hose connections and 2 vacuum ports.
What do I connect these vacuum ports to? In the dash behind the selector switch and temperature slider lever there is a white plastic box with 4 vacuum ports numbered: 1,2,3,4. There are 4 hoses colored: red, blue, yellow, black. Where do these hoses plug in under the hood? What color goes on what number port? If anybody can help me put this together please let me know. I love this car! |

If it is the same as a Montego:
Looking from the front at the manifold with the four hoses Left to right, white, blue, black, red. The red hose should attach to the Heat-Defrost door vacuum motor under the dash. The black hose is the vacuum supply hose and attaches to the vacuum canister. The blue hose attaches to the top center port on the inboard set of vacuum switches that are attached to the firewall. The yellow hose should attach to the top center port on the outboard switch. Message me if you want. I have a Ford vacuum system problem diagnosis manual. Jamie
