So I'm putting my rebuilt 351w back together and I can't get the water pump pulley to line up. It's actually so tight to the crank pulley that it can't turn. I'm wondering if the engine guy forgot the crankshaft spacer or something else. Any ideas or experiences?

Are the pulleys the same that were there before engine rebuild? Same water pump and damper?
Any pics of the issue? Edited by SininenIII - 15-August-2014 at 3:49AM |

The pulleys are the same but the damper and water pump are both new aftermarket. I just fabbed up a spacer to fit behind the crank pulley and it's lining up pretty good now. :) I'll post up pics once the wife uploads from her camera.
