Been thinking about trying some Recaro LS buckets I have laying around. Someone else also tried Exploder buckets.

The lincoln LS was in production from the years 1999 through 2006. It shares the same platform with the 1999-2006 ford thunderbird, the jaguar S-Type and the jaguar XF.

I do not believe that you can just put the seats onto your car's floor pan and bolt them into the floor. You would probably have to get a piece of 2 inch X 2 inch- 1/8" thick angle iron and cut it into four eight inch long pieces, and four four inch long pieces.

You will have to drill the seat frame bolt holes into the angle iron. And you will probably have to do some welding also. Hopefully one of the other members will know more about this subject.

Unless you can find a way to connect/bolt the lincoln LS seats to the torino seat frames and seat tracks. Or you will have to find a way to bolt the LS seat frames and seat tracks into your cars floor.

You will probably have to drill the holes in the angle iron and weld the angle iron to the LS seat frames. This might be alot of extra work.

The pictures below are from a person who connected Lincoln Mark 8 seats, seat frames and seat tracks into his Gran Torino. The lincoln Mark 8 was produced from 1993 to 1998. But the 1999-2006 lincoln LS seat frames are probably very similar.

This is how it would probably look from underneath.

There is a person who had connected fox body seats into his gran torino seat tracks. As you know the fox body was in production from 1978 to 1993, with the mustang, cougar, thunderbird, lincoln mark 7 and some other models.
This appears to be a little bit less work and there was no welding required, but he still had to cut and drill the pieces of angle iron in order to connect the fox body seats into his Gran Torino floors.

I didn't mean the Lincoln LS, I meant the RECARO LS, which was the seat model.

What I have (not my pic). They came out of a Volkswagen Jetta GLI, and they are power too.

No cracks in that leather, fordpower? That would be even better.

Sorry fordpower, when you wrote that it is a "Lincoln LS" I thought that you had meant it was a 1999-2006 model.
As you know, the 1990 through 1992 Lincoln mark 7 that you are referring to is a fox body, so it will be alot easier to install the lincoln mark 7 seats (like in the fox body pictures above) than it would be if it was a lincoln mark 8. There is a picture below of a 1991 mark 7.

Instead of using 4 little tabs, use 2 strips of flat metal across the base of the seats to adapt your torino seat tracks to the later seats
it's stronger and stays "square" better without welding. (especially for us "full size" individuals)

If you are finding the Mark VII's for the seats, try to get the 86-89 LSC models. Those had much better bolsters, and adjustable thigh support. But those are a little tighter if you happen to be a bigger individual.

This is the 90-92 model LSC, from my first 91 LSC SE;

Not hard to make seat mounts. Use the Torino floor mounts line them up and drill holes in them and the seat frame to mate up. Maybe have to weld them to the frame or even weld some fabricated brackets.

Step 1, bolt the torino mounts in the car(need all 4 from buckets or split bench set up) slide them ALL the way back.
Step 2, strip the mounts off the new seats
Step 3, set the seat on the torino tracks in the car, put the seat as far back as you ever think it will need to be. IF you don't do this your seat will not slide back far enough for you to get in/out easily! Trust me and Andy on this.
Step 4, tack weld the seat frame to the mounts
Step 5 remove the seats with the tracks tack welded on them
Step 6, flip upside down on the bench and see if you can drill holes to bolt together or need to weld them or maybe need to create brackets.
Step 7, do the work
Step 8 reinstall
Step 9 drive and enjoy!
