you need to buy the grant mounting kit, i don't remember the part# but if you can't find it i can look for it (it's a very common kit fits most all older fords) pull your stock wheel, then install the kit and wheel, bam your done! kits run about $20 BTW if the wheel uses the small black horn button, you can get a ford logo one to replace it from grant, i just got mine today!

As CaliforniaJohnny posted, it is a relatively EZ swap. Make sure you have a puller for the original steering wheel, a harmonic balancer type of puller will work good for this job.

Using a puller is by far the best way. If you decide not to do that and resort to the old "yanking back and forth" on the wheel to remove it, BE SURE to leave the nut on the shaft a few threads. Otherwise, when the wheel comes off you will smack yourself in the face with it. You can bet on that happening, so use the puller.

LOL, yes, a busted lip or nose, or a knot on the head. You know the Sunday FHV game "Head, gut, or groin", I'm guessing the lip.

Nose. I was hunched over, had both feet implanted on the pan under the dash, putting my entire 225 pounds into it while yelling profane words.

Oh darn, I guessed wrong. Do I still get a little Bergeron bobble-head doll?

That too funny, you guys are gonna kill yourselves! we used to loosen the nut, then using two hammers, strike one hammer with the other while using your knees to pull up on the back side of the wheel. The two hammers were needed to  extend the length of the shaft and not damage the wheel while striking. it was the fastest way to center the wheel after an alignment... if you didn't get it perfect when setting the toe.Thumbs Up

Tighten it down until it snaps and then back it off a half turn!

steering wheel swap is one job I might actually think about disconnecting the battery first, those horn brushes have some good amps to them
