I had thought about using a tub to remake the inner fender wells.
That is why Andy rolled the fender lip around an 1/8th" piece of rod and welded it.
That made the fender lip strong enough without the inner structure attached to it.
The tub would be contour cut higher up inside along the back side of the quarter panel.
