Do any of the Gran Torino parts companies sell the metal that goes beneath the trunk weather stripping? This area is pretty porous with rust damage. Thank you!

My 72 GTS has the same issue. Any info out thee to share?

I'm currently looking for a donor car for the upper drip channel of the trunk.

Anyone ever repair this area by fabricating a new channel?

If you don't have a donor car, the only way I can think of is to us the flexible edge patch panels.
I used this on my flares and it worked great. You'll have to weld these in, then duraglass (or equivalent) them to sculpt if the way you want it, then coat it with bondo.
They come in 3/4" and 3" I believe.

You can Google

I need to make it too and I don't know yet how I going to fix it. Maybe I use small metal curving machine to make my lower and left side drip channel of the trunk. My upper channel and right side is OK.

Some part of the channel is made of two pieces and spot welded together. Lower corners are difficult to do and maybe I go with two pieces in corners too.

Pictures are helpful.

In my case I bought a parts car just to get the steel I needed.
