We sold the house in Ky. recently(YEA) and that's where my Ranchero has lived for the past 15yrs. I drove her down in 2000 for free storage in a real garage & to have a second car to cruise around in when we vacationed. The plan was to retire there & to get the body & paint done @ a nearby resto shop (Defew's Auto body) as labor is cheaper down there compared to up here in Chgo. Well the wife had other plansCry. Oh well, life goes on. The last couple of yrs. we haven't been down there as much, so time & bad gas took it's toll on the Ranch. so I've been tinkering with it.  I 've got her running for now on an aux. fuel supply (gas can). We had to trl. her back up to Chg. for that reason & the fact that, although the tires hold air & look new they are going on 30 yrs old. We made it home without incident. Now I can't wait to turn some wrenches on her again, although I have to dedicate only a day or two a week, to keep the wife happy.LOL She tried selling it on our trip back up here. I have a replacement tank that I'll change in the next couple weeks, ordered a new tank vent, locking ring, & seals from Dearborn Tues. rec'vd them Thurs.. I'll be getting new brake hoses & rear brake junction blk. from Rock Auto Sat. I'll be keeping you all posted as I progress. I would be working more on her, but the wife has been patient with me the last 32 yrs. as I've played with all my toys so now it's time to return the favor, & do the house the way she wants it. That's the plan for now anywayErmm.
