I was fortunate enough to pick up a 71 Ranchero with the 429CJ, but this one has an automatic transmission (the C6). The previous owner has a 14 year old son who removed random parts from this car. One of the missing parts is the carb. I know this is supposed to be a Quadrajet, but I recently picked up a SCJ manifold, so I can bolt on a Holley instead. The question I have is whether these cars are supposed to have the kick-down linkage, that long, aluminum bent rod that goes from the driver's side of the carb to the linkage by the transmission oil pan?

If it is supposed to have it, does anyone know where to get one? I haven't seen any catalogs with this part....

it is supposed to have that kick down rod, but a different carb and or a different manifold (like a aftermarket high rise) will make the rod incorrect in length
