ANY one of you guys (or girls..) who has a parts wagon or knows of one in a local junk yard that still has one that you can get the fuel door and surrounding body metal off of I will buy it for my Ranchero immediately. The fuel fill hole is so low on my 75 and badly designed that I have to hold the spigot manually while I put gas in it and it  leaks. I want to relocate the wagon fuel door up higher on mine. I think that would work out great. Please private message me right away this is the only thing holding me up from painting it!! I also need door panels for 75 chero any shape so I can reupolster. Dearborn wants too much. THANK YOU!!!!

regarding the door panels: the ones from dearborn DO NOT come with the original upper curved metal part!!! you have to reuse yours! so since you have to remove and reuse the metal part just make some new better quality ones using 1/8" luan paneling instead of that crappy hardboard material (save your old hardboard for a pattern) here's how i did my rear panels for my car (the doors are similar just longer):

luan paneling should be available at most local lumberyards*** it's commonly used for interior house doors

i was going to reroute or rather, plumb the new placement. which will require piecing together what's collected at the junkyard or just a plastic hose like many of the fuel cells come with...Hell, I may even put it on the inside of the bed. Sorry for the redundance... Seems like I posted something similar, a few years back, lol.

that's what a couple or more guys on the Ranchero page did, used a late model aircraft style or 'from whatever' fuel cap & door assy and installed it into the inner bed panel much higher than where the original was on the outer quarter. then the filler tube needs to be fab'd to do a U turn inside the body

That's why I wanted one from a wagon they have the same body lines. A ranchero is just a Torino wagon with the top cut off, hahaha, what will they think of next!
