After looking at the car closer...
I am thinking...
What would a Ranchero look like with the rear end cut off it?
Shorten the frame and get the rear wheels snugged right up against the rear of the passenger compartment!!

leave the long hood and just chop it off after the doors.
Maybe just leave the rear end hanging out like an old school rat rod?

I went and registered it today.

I had to drive it 1 mile from the house to the County Sheriff's office for a VIN check.

Brakes almost all the way to the floor, whining P/S Pump, no key and the tilt wheel flopping in my lap. Made it there and back.

After doing more looking and investigating the rot... the car is SHOT!

It seems all the panels are original and just rusted beyond repair. Floor boards rotted holes and you can see the rear wheels through the storage area behind the seat under the bed.

It is a 78 Ranchero GT, 351W with factory air, and ALL gauges.

When I return from California the last week of June, I will be cutting it up, stripping it and then junking the remains.

It does have good door glass and rear glass.

I will be taking the 9 inch and the front suspension/brake parts to upgrade/transplant, might pull the dash face plate with gauges. I will be pulling the engine and tranny.

The front facia looks good, I could take off the whole front with lights, grill and all if someone wants it. The grill has 1 small groove cut in a vertical slot. The Grill GT emblem is there and good.

IF anyone is looking for smaller specific parts LET ME KNOW!
ANYONE NEED ANYTHING!? I can look and see if they are worth it.

I will check it all out when I return and get it off to you for the cost of shipping plus a reasonable offer for the part. Or even free just the shipping depends on the size and worth.
Leave a reply here for me.
