Hi. I have a frustrating problem on my -71 Torino. Suddenly it wont turn - as if there is no power on the battery. It doesnt even help using jumper cables.
After a while - like half an hour, eveything is OK?
The battery seem to be fine, but I havent made any diagnostical measurings.
Any suggestions?

WELCOME to the Family!

Your account should be activated now.

Sounds like you have a bad starter, bad starter wires or connections. Could be the starter solenoid/relay too.

Jump over the solenoid. if it cranks, solenoid is shot.
Use one side (red or black) of the jumper.
connect one side to the battery terminal that feeds the solenoid and tap the other against the starter side of the solenoid. Careful, it will spark.
(Redneck Ford trick, you can also jump the little wire to the hot side of the solenoid and do the starter trick to start the car without keys)
