I have a 1971 Torino with a 1971 429 engine I also have a toploader an 11" clutch with a 164 tooth flywheel.  Can't seem to find the right match up since the starter doesn't make contact with the flywheel.  What am I doing wrong can someone tell me the correct set-up for my issue???  Thanks!

are you running the bb 429 cj bell housing or the 351m/400 bell housing.theres diff flywheel per bell housing. 176 is 429 cj bell big input tranny housing.the 351m/400 is truck bell housing small input tranny.i dont no the tooth count for that flywheel.i think i got one...

I have a 176 tooth flywheel in the T10 400/351m bell housing and use a starter for a 1992 F series 460 truck with M/T. I use two washer (.125) to space the starter back so the teeth disengage all the way.
