Hello from Canada!

I have a completely bone stock 72 Montego MX Wagon with a 351C under the hood. Just rolled 78,900 original miles on the odometer. I bought the car from a 90 year old man who drove it to the church and the store on sunny sundays when his wife wasn't driving her car instead.

(yes, I should have bought the '78 Grand Marquis with the 460 under the hood and 12,000 miles on it that his wife had, but I'm not made of money.)

So far my list of improvements:
  • replace the dead tailgate window motor
  • front shocks
  • rear springs (the springs were so far gone that with 4 people in the car, the mud flaps would scrape on the ground when you went around a corner.)
  • new plug wires
  • new air filter
  • oil change
  • new battery
  • new distributor cap and rotor
  • new coil and pertronix ignition
  • 16" mustang rims and tires (17" mustang rims hit the upper ball joint!)
  • pair of 3.5" 2-way speakers replacing the paper-cone sadness in the dash
  • kenwood stereo with USB mounted under the dash

I've always wanted a Torino wagon but when I saw this for sale.. how could I say no?

Hope to get lots of good information from folks here in future.

Michael

no way, someone else on the board who'll understand what a donair is. :-)

I'm in Halifax.

I'll get some photos when it's not so humid and hot out that I'm worried about melting. Also, if anyone's looking for web space for photos, just ask!
