Hey all. Just picked up a 72 Torino wagon to go with my 72 Montego MX and 73 Torino fastback. Not too bad of shape - usual rust behind the rear wheels, but nothing horrible. 302/C-4, power steering and manual brakes, dealer add-on A/C (this particular part fascinates me). I can't wait to put my spare scoop hood on it! I've read a bit about our wagons, and know a lot of stuff is hard to find (weatherstripping, trim, etc.). The bottom of my tailgate is rusted out, so is this a "holy grail" part, or is it something somebody would have handy? What year and model tailgates go with the 72? Thanks!

Matt

Good wagon tailgates are really hard to find. That being said, '72 - '76 gates will interchange (minor trim differences) and I picked up a couple of '72 - '76 Ranchero tailgates for the skins and inner structure in case I need them.

That's a good idea with the Ranchero tailgates. I'll keep an eye out for those.
