Hello all. New to the group so nice to digitally meet you all. I just purchase a 1969 Torino GT Fastback.
Car is running really good but last night on the free at night a couple people where flashing my with there headlights and someone pulled up and told me that I had no lights on the back of the car. Odd thing is that every-time that I pulled over and walked back and checked the were working fine. All that lights in the car that I can see while driving never had an issue so problem must be related just to the back. Thinking ground issue somewhere. Right? I will run out later today and do some more wiggling and looking in the trunk to see if I can find anything that is a clear issue. I did change the 1157 bulbs and did a general inspection of wiring. Any thoughts or ideas would sure be welcomes. Scott |

sounds like a ground or a wire connection from the front to the back is dirty, loose or corroded.

Typical for those is a ground, as Regul8r II posted. Make sure the bulbs and sockets are clean, and the ground for them is as well. They usually come and go as the car bounces over bumps. Also the springs in the sockets that press the contacts at the base of the bulb get weak.
