i have 15x 8 on the front ( can't remember the back spacing at the moment) but they fit fine |

On a 15x8, you can run as large as a 275-60-15 on the rear. 245-60-15 on the front, or even a 255-60 won't be a problem.

My T-Bird is closer to the Montego for wheelwells, but I have 255/70-15 on 8 1/2" wide U.S.Indy slots with 3" backspace and Lincoln Mark V rear springs. I could go quite a bit larger no problem.

I have 15 x 8 Magnum 500s with 4.5" backspacing front and rear. The fit with lots of room. I run 245/60-15 tires too.
