Didn't want to post this in the project thread, 'cuz it's a driver right now.  But this is the AOD w/custom bellhousing and 10"/4000 stall converter in My '79 Heritage, perhaps the strangest welding job i've seen on a set of headers, and one melted a/c box. Enjoy!Big smile

Thanks for sharing the pics John.  What headers are those on you car?  How do you like the AOD?

the AOD is a little finaky, getting the TV cable adjusted was a pain.  When I got the car, if you floored it, it would screamed through 1-3, then floated around till you let of the gas, THEN go into overdrive. Took a few online articles and a few adjustments, but it's all good now.

As for the headers, I really have no idea what they were for originally, and somebody cut and welded the snot out of them.  For some reason, the flanges are sliced between the exhaust ports.Confused Plus the collectors don't end at 90 degrees, sorta come down at an angle.  Makes the pipes dip below the body line.  I will get the right headers eventually, but for right now, it's my everyday ride.  LOL
