Hi, I am after new engine mounts for my 72 Ranchero 429, there's a lot of old posts going back a few years, but apart from the Crites ones is there any other options??, I don't want weld in, the ones from Summit/Jegs are not correct, What are people using when their mounts fail???.
As I have to ship to Australia it get expensive if they are not correct. Cheers |

You could try to find OEM mounts. Aquartlow may chime in to confirm, but I believe that the 72-79 Lincoln Mark mounts will work.
I found these on eBay that appear to be correct, but confirm with someone here first that they will work on the Torino Chassis. |

Not a cheap way to go but I am having my original mounts revulcanized by Damper Doctor out of California, should be getting them back next week and I will post photos when they get here. With shipping it came to about $450, like I said not cheap but fitment won't be an issue and reviews on the company are good. The mounts that Vince posted look similar but not correct for my application but may be for yours. (mine look like the third photo ones which aren't the ones for sale on the ad)

The ones Vince linked to are incorrect, they are for a fullsize car. They will not work. Seller has an incorrect chart, and pictures of several different mounts.
429/460 Mounts for 72-76 Thunderbird or Mark IV, or 77-78 Mark V will work, as well as ones for a 72-76 Torino, or Montego, 72-76 Ranchero, or 74-76 Cougar.

Thanks Randy, I knew someone would clear it up. That guys listing wasn't very clear. Are any of the pictures he shows the correct style mount?

the one in the middle and right appear to be part of the correct mount. there is a bracket that goes on the engine that the insulator bolts to. Also supposed to be a pesky heat shield that goes between the two halves.
