Q code buckets console rally dash automatic. Not the one I'm working on now. Loved that car but had to sell it prior to transferring to Jacksonville. Sold in Pensacola in 1980 , kid on the way needed 4 doors

Love that picture! looks like factory Firestone's on magnum 500's! Hard to tell the color. Thanks for listing all the specs on your original car...because.......

On Saturday, I almost bought a '72 fastback 97k miles ALL original, Q code, buckets, console, 7 gauge cluster, automatic, laser with wheel opening trim and original magnums still there, NO RUST. Atlanta DSO in Ivy Glow 4C paint with medium green interior and a black vinyl top. BUILT IN JULY 1972! Needed restoration and some body work but it was ALL there.

There where two people in between the name on the title. The seller said he'd put the title in his name on Monday; a good guy. But I'm sure now he sold it to someone else. Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll call tomorrow.

Should have given him the cash, taken the car and title and worked through the issues. Who feels my pain?

Your cool vintage picture made me think of how dumb it was to worry about title.

Love the pic.  Was just telling my wife yesterday I wished I had taken a picture with my 72 GTS back in 1978 when I purchased for $1,350 to compare to the almost complete project car now.

Can hardly believe that was 46 years ago, wish I still had that one. The one I’m workin on now will just be a nice driver when I get it done. H code fastback bench seat rally dash a/c auto on the column. Fresh motor and tranny. Hope to have it done for the turkey rod run in November.

What a cool car and story! That was a very nicely equipped car. My dad also bought my Torino brand new. He owned several cars before but it was his first brand new car. He special ordered it. I grew up with the car and was lucky enough to get it from my dad over 15 years ago now.
