Will 71 headlight buckets fit into a 72 and is there a difference between the left and right hand side. I pulled them off and they look the same.

1971 torino headlights only fit 1971.there is a left and right to them.look at the top and you will see top left or top right on them.there made with the same parts but put together different.if you hack/mod them thay will work in anything.

if you are referring to the buckets that hold the head light bulb... i didn't notice if there were lefts and rights??? but there is a difference between low and high beam buckets as the the notches for the bulb fitment

i thought you were talking the complete headlight bucket not the cups the hold the head lights in.when i hear headlight buckets thats what i think (use to)....

if you look inside the cup you should see a C8OE part number.i just looked at a 72 headlight bucket and the cups have a C8OE part number on them .like john said theres a hi and low...
