How new is newer? Coyote new or 80s Mustang new?
80s 5.0 is easy-peasy, still a 302. Coyotes... I've seen them in 67/70 Mustangs on the interweb, and that's structurally the same car. Oh, and Welcome Aboard!!!

welcome! shouldn't be too hard to do, the electronics of the EFI if you go that route would be the hardest part

Welcome Joe! You've been upgrade to a full member and can post photos now if you like. Like Randy, I was going to ask which 5.0L are you talking about? A Windsor family motor or the late model Coyote? I haven't seen a swap Coyote swap in your generation Torino yet. The newer Coyote may require you modifying or removing the shock towers, as it is pretty wide.
What's wrong with the 351C? |

I would have thought to get a modern 5.0L Coyote in there, you'd need to change the front suspension and eliminate the shock towers. But it looks like these guys have fit them in Torinos before and they offer some sort of conversion kit. They appear to modify the shock towers for additional clearance. You might what to get in touch with them.
