Hello my fellow Ford enthusiasts. I'm the proud owner of a not so perfect 75 Gran Torino painted like the striped tomato. I installed a mildly built 408 last year and I'm in the process of getting the transmission rebuilt. I love looking around at what everyone else has and getting some insight on tips and tricks for problems that I may run into. Also it would be nice to find some parts that I'm missing.

Welcome to the forum!  What engine is your 408 based on?  We'd love to see some pics and hear more details on your car.

I have upgraded your membership, so you have full site access and can upload photos.  Here is a post if you need some help uploading pics:

My motor is built off of a 351w. I've been searching for some wheel well chrome/mouldings...I dont need them but they'd sure bring the look of the car together. I'm also having trouble finding a column shifter cable for my c4

That's what it feels like with the wheel well mouldings. I'm also curious about my driver side windshield wiper arm. The owner before me put a weak spring on the arm so it doesnt hug the windshield like it should. I dont drive in the rain but I'm curious if I can find just a spring to make it work or if i should just look for a new wiper arm and hope that they include the spring

The car looks great!  It must move out well with that 408 stroker.

Really nice looking car... Welcome and glad to see another Va. member joining. I'm just down the road in Fredericksburg.. I've been thinking of turning my 302 into a stroker motor. I'm looking forward to taking my 73 to some local car shows this year so if you hear of any, let me know.

Nice setup!  Is the distributor D.U.I. or Proform?

It's a proform distributor. I originally had a summit brand distributor but the cap ended up busting somehow when I was driving one time so I went with my current setup

I haven't had any issues with the Proform unit, although the one I had in in My '73 Olds had a module failure...after about 10 years of service...Big smile
