Hi, I replaced my fuel tank with a spectra unit, I used a new fuel pipe rubber gasket, top vent o-ring,connected the two vent hoses and canister up front to the hard line.  So when the fuel tank is full, there is a really noticeable fuel smell when it parked. there isn't any fuel leaks either. I am at a lost is to why,but when I did fill the tank it did spit some fuel back towards me...did I over fill it possibly? any input is appreciated.

IDK check every place fuel could leak may not be a dripping leak but any damp area of minor seepage could cause the smell...

is this the one that used the different year / fill tube angle tank?

what does the vent hose do after it gets away from the tank, did you inspect it thoroughly for rust through etc?

is it a rubber grommet vent or lock ring?

try dowsing the underside of the seam with baby powder, i remember hearing something about 'the wet spot'
