Is anyone aware of a blower motor upgrade for a factory AC setup? It's all working fine, but the low -high seems more like a low - medium. I want a high - higher.
I did a c4 blower in my c3 vette and it made a big difference. Was wounding if something similar could be done with the 72 torino.

i can't recall ever hearing about a blower upgrade for these Ford Intermediates,

are you sure your evap core is clear and flowing air freely?

squirrel cage full of squirrels? IIRC mine was full of crud on the vanes.

also check voltage at the blower motor, you could be losing fan rpm due to voltage loss through the switch / harness. if that's the case or just for Big smile use the existing blower power wire for the trigger and upgrade the circuit to a direct battery / charging voltage feed through a relay to the blower motor and see if that don't spin'r up

rock has a good point! there is a micro switch in one of the control levers.
this made me think of the blower motor in my torino, it had gotten water down in it and was frozen solid, figured i'd just buy a new one. well having it out and in my hand i worked some PB BLASTER down in the bushings, got it to turn a little, worked some more in and it would turn fully but stiff... so i grabbed the battery charger, set it to 200 amp start and threw the juice to it like a mad scientist Big smile spun the hell out of it for 20 seconds! turns freely and is still in there and working fine Thumbs UpLOL

i vaguely remember that, what does the micro switch do again?

reminds me of the time i linked a couple bad batteries in series to get my 72 started,
they had maybe 10v or less so useless by themselves but hold my beer and watch this!

the starter cranked like gangbusters but the Unilite module was not amused.
i forgot to protect the dizzy and we had to push the car into the garage anyway.
$80 or so shipped IIRC Angry
