Hey guys, has anyone had any luck finding a brake booster?  Just drove my new GTS for the first time today, the pedal does not return correctly.  Doing a little research, I guess the return spring is in the booster.  I looked at a few dozen websites, can't locate one.  They seem to be obsolete.

best thing is probably to find a trusted shop that can rebuild your existing booster. I had my brake booster and proportioning valve rebuilt and powder coated for less than $150 out here in CA. So I assume it's cheaper to get done in other states.

White Post Restorations restores proportioning valves and brake boosters.  I have used them before.

Just got a reply back from them  Holy Cow, they want $445 plus shipping both ways from Arizona.  They must think I want it gold plated or something.  I know the part is obsolete, but that doesn't mean they should gouge people like that.  That will be my last option.  Thank you though for the info.

Are you talking about White Post Restorations or Booster Dewey?  Just checked their website (Booster Dewey) and they show 175 for our year Fords plus shipping.

The $445 was from white post restorations.  I talked to Boostet Dewey, getting it done there.  A five week delay though, but worth it. Thanks everyone.  I just don't know how someone can charge more than double than someone else.

Ouch! I didn't know they'd be that much more expensive. White Post seems to specialize in a lot of Antiques and concours type restorations. so I guess they charge more - a lot more.

Post some pics of your booster when you get it back.

Couldn't be further from the truth. People have unrealistic expectations prices wise lately.

With Google and the internet, cannot see how an operation could charge significantly more for the same service, and stay in business. Unless they are in some kind of vacuum bubble, surrounded by older car guys that are internet illiterate.
