Wondering if anyone has done this - am I crazy as I'm pretty sure I already will go restomod front. Is this a good route -

the first and second gen cars could benefit from suspension upgrades like that IMO |

You could go that route too. There are kits out there for your car:
What is your reason for wanting a 4-link suspension? Are you going for handling, stance, drag race performance? |
